Do I need prior experience?
Not for every role. A job that needs no previous experience is marked “No experience”, and you can filter for it on the job board — for those roles, training is provided by us or by the employer.
How long until I hear back?
We aim to come back within a few business days. If the role has been filled, we will look at other openings for you.
Do I have to upload a CV?
Yes. So that we can match you to the right job, a CV is required with every application. No CV ready? On any job’s application form you can choose “Create a CV here” and build one quickly and accurately from your real experience, skills and details — the document holds only what you enter yourself, and nothing is made up. You get a PDF to check, and it is attached to the application only after you approve it. Already have a file? Upload it — PDF, DOC or DOCX.
What happens to my details?
They are used only to assess your suitability for roles, in line with the privacy policy. You can ask to see, correct or delete them at any time.
What is “preferred work”?
A benefit for those released from regular service, under National Insurance Institute rules. Eligibility depends on the role and the workplace, so we never promise it in advance — on the “Preferred work” page you can leave your details, and we will go through the options with you.
Does the process cost anything?
No. Candidates never pay OASIS to apply or to be placed.
